Sadly the current Coronavirus emergency means that any of these activities in Willersey may be delayed or cancelled.
Because Willersey Village Hall will be closed from Easter for 6 months for a major refurbishment, the Horticultural Show will not happen this year but will return in 2021.
With the closure of the Village Hall for its upgrade works, there will be no Willersey Horticultural & Craft Show in 2020. Instead, the Parish will hold a fete on the weekend of the Patronal Festival of our Church's saint, Saint Peter, on Saturday 27th June.
As well as teas being served in the churchyard, the fete will feature all of the usual activities of our village's traditional, later August Bank Holiday event as well as other attractions. These will include the Flower Festival in the Church, Fun Dog Show, Scarecrow Trail, Village Open Gardens, stalls & raffle and vintage vehicles. With no activity planned for the area surrounding the Village Hall and given the success of having done so in previous events, an application will be made to have Church Street closed for a few hours on the Saturday to make this a street market for the fete.
In the evening, there will be a music recital in Saint Peter's Church. This will feature organ music played by Richard Stephens, Musical Director of Saint James, Chipping Campden, and music by other fine classical musicians.
